About Julio

Hi! My name is Julio Betar, I'm from Sydney, Australia but currently reside in the U.S. I'm a recently graduated student-athlete from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). The past five years I've lived in the United States pursuing my education whilst playing football (soccer) at the collegiate level. Whilst at SNHU I received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, focused in finance and a masters degree in Business Science of Data analytics. Now I am pursuing a career as a professional football player as I currently play for a professional development team based in NH for the summer before leaving to Italy in late July for professional trials.

From eight to eleven I lived in Modena a small town know for its production of balsamic vinegar around two hours south of Milan, Italy. During this time I learnt to speak Italian and continued my studies in school. Now a fluent speaker, I aim to teach students looking to develop or improve their Italian the same way I learnt.

I look forward to meeting my students!

About the lesson

I adopt an informal teaching style as I find it important for my students to feel comfortable enough around me to make mistakes and from this improve!

I offer a flexible teaching program where I can best understand the needs of my students and what they seek from our lessons.
Each lesson will be tailored towards skills you need to improve towards ultimately achieving your specific goals! I always seek student feedback and am very open minded so lessons can be adapted on the fly to what my students feel will make them best progress.

We can work on an assignment the student has or specific problems they look to solve, otherwise we can start from scratch and work through a textbook. Whatever suits your needs most!

Personally, I learnt to speak Italian best through creative and fun teaching methods so I like to offer a more dynamic and engaging class for my students rather than reading through textbooks.

Ultimately, I find it upmost important to listen and observe my students to ensure that each tutoring session is best prepared to better your skills.

I currently offer online sessions, however am more than open to do in-person tutoring if distance isn't an issue. Either way the quality of the session is always productive!
