About Alexandra
I hold a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood Studies and have been a tutor for the past 3 years, though I’ve worked with children for over 11 years in various capacities. I have experience teaching in a Sunday school for 3 years, where I planned weekly lessons, and as a classroom assistant, supporting the lowest ability groups with their classwork. Additionally, I’ve worked as a nanny, assisting with homework and academic support.
I specialize in English, Maths, and Science for children aged 5-11 (primary/elementary level) and have a particular interest in supporting children with dyslexia. I focus on developing strategies to help them work around their challenges, build confidence, and realize that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. I also have experience preparing students for entrance exams such as the 7+, 11+, as well as SATs (KS2), KS3, and GCSE English.

My approach to teaching is to focus on the strengths of my pupils to help them overcome their weaknesses, this is to enable them to see that they can do anything they put their mind to. I also try to make my sessions as fun as possible to keep my students engaged.
