About Euan
I have a great passion and love for the art of teaching and sharing information, with the aspiration that one day I will be a fully qualified teacher at a university standard. Due to this desire, I both value and love the importance of learning myself and practising the methods of teaching. Henceforth, I am a Second Class honours graduate from Lancaster University in Politics and Philosophy who mainly specialises in the education of ethics, liberty, environmental security and East-African politics. Whilst, having a great deal of joy in constantly expanding my horizon of knowledge, focusing on; Politics, Philosophy, Economics and History. Among this, I have provided myself with much experience in teaching; this has taken the form of Tutoring for the past two years and working as a teaching assistant and cover teacher for nearly a full academic year. These approaches have provided practice in leading lessons in classroom environments. Whilst granting me the opportunity to learn from those who have been performing the art of teaching for extended longevity of time.

As a Politics and Philosophy graduate with Second Class Honours, the skill of discussion-based learning acts as a central pillar within my teaching approach. Revolving around debates, questions and answers, and detailed analyses of crucial ideas around the topic. In addition, a key focus on answering questions from the lens of social, political and economical view points will be at the foundation when teaching history. Therefore, I would best describe my lessons as hands-on, with direct engagement between myself and the student in simplifying concepts without removing the detail required to understand the ideas to one of the best standards. This, tied in with regular assessments of the student's knowledge through verbal and written questions, ensures that the concepts being taught are grasped and understood to an outstanding level. I further assure that not only the ideas are understood, but the standard of how answers should be articulated and delivered through exam form, something that, because of covid, has become less practised due to unfortunate circumstances is excellent and understood. This approach involves understanding exam papers, exam strategies, and mark schemes, allowing students to push their abilities to the highest level. Finally, I always try to maintain a high degree of approachability, being relatively fast in responding to messages and questions, outside tutoring lessons, marking work, and ensuring the classes themselves are interactive and exciting.

Euan has provided many well constructed and well led sessions that have greatly helped me with my school work raising my grades back to where they should be. Brilliant.
Euan is extremely knowledgeable regarding economics. He keeps up with all current affairs and has a good understanding of economics with regard to how economics helps shape politics and philosophy and vice versa.
Euan is highly confident and enthusiastic regarding this subject and describes concepts very well. I have found him to be a great source of information and is always willing to help and is very patient even when I struggle with certain concepts.
Overall, I would highly recommend Euan if you would like to further your understanding of Economics.Has explained concepts to me in philosophy and politics in an easy and helpful way so that I understood them!
