About Pax
Hiya! I’m Pax, a Neuroscience and Chemistry student at the University of Glasgow with a passion for making science accessible, intuitive, and exciting.
I graduated high school in America with high honors and have spent years diving deep into the world of STEM—from conducting 13 months of novel Alzheimer’s research at a US university to participating in paid inorganic chemistry internships and competing at the FIRST Robotics World Championship. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to win multiple state and regional STEM awards, including the Vermont Biomedical Research Network Gold Medal and the Yale Science & Engineering Association Award.
Beyond my own studies and research, mentoring others has always been a central part of what I do. As a STEM Academy mentor in high school, I guided over 30 students through their own academic projects, scientific inquiries, and research goals. I also founded and ran after-school robotics programs to teach younger students hands-on problem-solving, collaboration, and foundational engineering principles.
Whether you are looking to boost your grades, master tricky coursework, or explore scientific topics beyond the textbook, I bring real-world experience, patient guidance, and an adaptable approach to every session to help you reach your goals!

I believe science is best understood, not just memorized. However, everyone learns at a different pace, and that’s what I’m here for you! My approach is friendly, highly adaptive, and tailored directly to how you learn best. Whether you need support with structured school coursework, preparing for exams, or exploring advanced scientific concepts beyond the syllabus, I meet you where you are. I connect complex scientific theories to real-world applications to make every concept clear, intuitive, and engaging. Lessons typically begin with a 5-to-10-minute check-in to go over what you need help with, followed by roughly 35 minutes of guided, interactive learning. We wrap up the last 10 to 15 minutes with a quick review and practice questions to ensure you leave with a clear understanding of the material—though if you prefer to lead the session in a way that better fits your learning style, I am as flexible as you need!
