About Chris
Hi everyone! My name is Chris, and I'm currently a student in my fifth year of a Conjoint BA/BCIS at AUT. That's both software development and English for anyone curious! I'm new to tutoring but I'm quietly confident and incredibly excited to start my journey in education.
My work background is in hospitality and customer service. Education wise, I've had a brilliant academic career so far - all 3 levels of NCEA with Excellence, two university level scholarahips, and a 7.5 GPA over the course of 5 years at AUT. I know exactly what it takes to do well at school. But it takes more than that for a tutor to inspire a student to do well. It takes engaging, interactive education, quality communication skills and a genuine interest in a student's success. That's what I have to offer! I have everything that makes a great tutor and more.

I personally believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Project-based learning is an excellent way to develop skill-sets over time. Of course, though, most students will have specific assignments, papers and standards to be working on. I'm totally happy and prepared to accommodate any kind of English language work, be it creative writing, academic writing, punctuation and grammar, and more.
