About Diyah
I’m an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Bioengineering in the College of Engineering. I am an undergraduate researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In my 5 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with over 100 students (in both group and individual settings). I’ve mostly tutoring students in math subjects, ranging from elementary math to Calculus, but I have also tutored students in Chemistry and basic Computer Science subjects (e.g. Python and Java).

I am a recent high school graduate and am working towards my Bachelor of Science degree. My teaching structure generally includes a briefing of the subject matter for half of the class time, followed by several practice problems that push students to think through different problem styles. I encourage and guide my students to adopt a method of learning that emphasizes mastering the content rather than pattern matching.
