About Zohaib

Hi, I’m Zohaib, a 16-year-old Maths tutor currently studying at grammar school and preparing for my GCSEs.

I’ve always enjoyed Maths, especially the challenge it brings, as it has helped me build resilience and perseverance. I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential and achieve more than they thought possible.

When I teach, I focus on creating a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe this helps build confidence and allows students to really grow and start enjoying Maths rather than fearing it. I also encourage a structured, step-by-step approach so students can solve problems methodically, even when they feel stuck.

I understand the pressure of both GCSEs and 11+ exams because I’ve experienced it myself. At one point, Maths wasn’t my strongest subject, but through consistency and determination I improved significantly — and I aim to pass that mindset on to my students.

Outside of tutoring, I’m interested in football and tennis, and I support West Ham. I also enjoy learning new things and bringing that curiosity into my teaching.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Zohaib, a dedicated and high-achieving Maths tutor currently completing my GCSEs at a grammar school, with a predicted Grade 9 in Maths and Further Maths and a UKMT Gold Award.

I have over 3 years of experience tutoring 11+ Maths, with a 100% pass rate across all my students. I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to help students build both strong problem-solving skills and confidence.

My lessons are fully personalised to each student. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand steps, and I make sure students are actively involved so they truly understand the content rather than just memorising it. I also provide exam-style practice and techniques to help students perform under pressure.

Whether your child is preparing for the 11+ or aiming for top grades in GCSE Maths, I aim to create a supportive and motivating environment where they can improve quickly and achieve their full potential.

I am patient, friendly, and committed to helping every student succeed. I’m happy to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs and ensure each lesson is both productive and enjoyable.
