Hello!! My name is Olivia, and I'm a Political Science major and English minor at UCLA with a 3.97 GPA. As both a community college transfer student and a UCLA Honors student, I understand firsthand the challenges students face when developing their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Throughout my academic career, I've maintained a 4.0 GPA in community college and excelled in writing-intensive courses focused on literature, politics, theory, culture, history, and social sciences.
My strongest areas include essay writing, English, literature, reading comprehension, and political science. I especially enjoy helping students strengthen their writing skills, organize their ideas, and develop confidence in their academic abilities. Rather than just giving answers, I work collaboratively with students to help them understand broader concepts, improve their reasoning, and to become more independent and critical learners.
In addition to my academic background, I have experience in mentoring and supporting students through educational access and community-based programs. My approach is empathetic, patient, and encouraging, and specifically tailored to each student’s individual learning style. Whether a student is working on essays, preparing for class assignments, developing study strategies, or more, my goal is to create a supportive and helpful environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and to build confidence.
I look forward to helping students grow as writers, thinkers, and learners!
