About Srikari

Hi everyone! My name is Srikari and I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics in 2023 and just moved to New York City for work! Before that, I was in the IB Diploma Program and know exactly what it takes to get a 7 in English. I was able to find a repeatable way to score high while also being able to deeply engage with my love for critical analysis, writing and literature. I have since then tutored several students in English and mentored many in their college application process with resume guidance and helping them build a narrative in their essays. I've been in your place very recently and have a way to streamline the learning process!

About the lesson

If you are an IB English Language and Literature student and are looking to improve your score, want proofreading services or essay and analytical writing assistance, you are in the right place.

Here is why I think I am qualified to be a great tutor for you and a little bit about my approach:

(i) I passed out of the IB program in 2019 with a 42/45 score and received a 7 in English as well as a full score in my English Extended Essay. I then graduated from UCLA, majoring in Business Economics in 2023. I know what it takes to score well, build a strong resume and write effectively.

(ii) One of my biggest strength lies in converting the vast and abstract nature of the IB syllabus into very streamlined, structured methodology to follow to attack each component. This method is tried and tested personally and is what got me 7 in IB English.

(iii) I will go over with the student their texts for Paper 2, what they find challenging and past papers to better understand where they need my assistance most.

(iv) I am also happy to provide samples of my past work (Paper 2, Paper 2, Extended Essay, IOC) that has been scored very highly and break it down into a format that the student can repeatedly follow for success!

(v) If the student is having trouble coming up with ideas in a timed situation, I will show them structured methods I use to get my ideas flowing.
