About Alesha

Hi, I'm Alesha! I'm a Biological Sciences graduate from UCL, and current LSE Masters' student.

Throughout my time at both secondary school and sixth form, I was left to work out how to achieve the best possible grades by myself. One of the main things that I struggled with was finding enjoyment in the subjects I was studying from the lack of real-world knowledge provided in lessons. From the very first lesson you have with me we'll incorporate the real-life applications of the topics you're learning about to hopefully further your interest in Biology, and add to your motivation for doing well in exams. Having achieved consistently good grades throughout my time at secondary school, I am confident that I can help my students achieve the best possible grades, alongside piquing their interest in the subject.

About the lesson

My lessons and style of teaching will be adapted to the needs of my students, focusing on their main issues whether that is explaining particularly difficult topics, or going through the entire specification before answering exam-style questions. I particularly stress the importance of exam questions to both solidify knowledge and practise exam technique, and in that respect (if my students are willing to do it) homework can be set, or entire lessons can be dedicated to answering these types of questions and then going through the answers together.
