About Urwah
Hi, I’m a student at University College Dublin studying English & Geography to become a post-primary teacher. I have always wanted to become a teacher since I was a kid, encountering teachers who took the time to break things down, who were patient, and who made learning feel approachable rather than intimidating. That experience has stayed with me, and it is a large part of why I now want to become that person for someone else. I want to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace. Confidence plays a huge role in learning, and I have seen how easily students can lose it when they feel judged or left behind. As a teacher, I would aim to build that confidence back up by making lessons clear, supportive, and encouraging.
