About Daelyn
I’m an aspiring clinical scientist, with a particular interest in genetics and haematology. I’ve always loved school; the acquisition of new information is something I find so thrilling, and being able to apply it to a high standard during exams brings me real joy.
I know not everyone feels this way about education, which can often lead to failing performances in students, despite them having real potential This is why I’m so excited to be a tutor - even if school isn’t your favourite thing, everyone should be able to do well, and get the grades they need for the future they want!

I'm so excited to be a tutor, as I have found that a really dedicated tutor can truly change your life, and tutoring has helped me to achieve high grades throughout my schooling career. GCSE Maths had always been my weakest subject, but with the help of a tutor I was able to move up a whole grade in the real exams! My first experience with being a tutor was also for a GCSE Maths student during year 12, who, I helped to improve from a failing grade to a passing grade.
My teaching style is based on tried and true methods of understanding and retaining information: I encourage breaking things down into simple concepts, active recall throughout the entire learning process, and regular exam style questions and exam technique practice to ensure that students are not only understanding the information, but are becoming able to apply it in ways that yield high results for their exam board. We will also make revision resources that students can continue to use, even if they choose not to continue tutoring. This is a skill that has helped me tremendously at A-Level, leading me to achieve 3A*s in my subjects.
My lessons will begin with a recap of what was covered in the last lesson, then I will begin covering new content at a pace that works for each individual, then we will end with exam style questions. I am also willing to set homework and extension tasks that will maximise your potential!
I am most familiar with AQA GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and OCR A-level Biology and Chemistry.
