About Annette

Hello my name is Annette. I am from Durban, South Africa. I have an honors degree in Education, a Higher Diploma in Education majoring in English and am TEFL/TESOL certified. I have experience teaching English to all ages. I also teach English for exams, conversational English and general English. My lessons are tailored according to the needs of my students. In my lessons i usually encourage students to speak as much as possible no matter what their level of English is. Some things I am passionate about are teaching, cooking, baking and traveling. Our lessons would be calm, friendly and 100% student centered with the first focus being on communication and then accuracy. My lessons include interactive power points to provide detailed information as well as visuals to demonstrate what I am teaching and to elaborate on the content. These power points include activities and interactive worksheets for the student to attempt during the lesson and for me to help if needed. I also provide homework should the student be willing to do extra work in their spare time. This gets checked at the beginning of each lesson. I look forward to speaking with you. Bye
