About Brent
I am a 2nd-year Electrical Engineering student at CPUT, and I have always had a strong interest in Mathematics. I managed to achieve 81% for Maths in matric. Having once struggled with certain Mathematical concepts myself, I understand how frustrating it can be when something just does not make sense. This is one of the reasons I enjoy helping others develop a better understanding and confidence in the subject.
I am a patient and approachable tutor who believes that every student can improve with the right explanation and enough practice. My goal is not simply to help students get the correct answer, but to help them understand the process behind it so they can tackle similar problems independently.
Whether you are struggling with the basics, preparing for an upcoming test or exam, or simply looking to improve your marks, I will tailor my lessons to your individual needs and work with you towards your goals.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making Pure Mathematics easier to understand by breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. I believe in creating a patient learning environment where students can ask questions freely and work at their pace. I also plan on guiding the student on how to approach the subject as a whole for their best possible result.
In a typical lesson with me, students can expect a relaxed, judgement-free environment where they're encouraged to ask questions freely, work through problems at their own pace, and build genuine understanding rather than just memorising steps. I also guide students on exam techniques, so they walk away more confident, not just for the next test but for the subject as a whole.
I am able to teach in English and can work with students currently in grade 8-11. My lessons are aimed at students of different ability levels, whether you are struggling with certain topics or looking to improve your marks and reach your full potential.
