About Daniel
I am about to graduate from the University of Exeter with a degree in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry. I have a strong desire to teach students, helping them to unlock their true potential. I was tutored in my second year of college by an excellent teacher who helped me learn the entire A-Level Mathematics syllabus in one year, achieving an A-grade while also applying to universities and maintaining a high level of excellence in my other three A-Levels. This experience showed me that school often fails to teach students in an efficient way that works for them. Success at university, and at work, is based on understanding concepts rather than memorising facts. My motivation for tutoring is to see students understand complex concepts, specifically in Biology and Chemistry, while mastering exam technique. These two concepts, when mastered, lead to top grades and a much more authentic knowledge base than just through memorising facts for exams.

Biology and Chemistry lessons are available for students studying for A-Level, International Baccalaureate and GCSE/IGCSE exams. Maths and Religious Studies lessons are available for students studying for GCSE/IGCSE exams. I am a graduate from the University of Exeter with an upper-second class honours degree in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry. Prior to university, I achieved AAAB in Maths (completed in 1 year), Biology, Chemistry and Music at A-Level and 10 GCSEs at grade 9. Lessons will range from 1-3 hours in duration and will be online unless specifically requested by the student. Lessons will be tailored to the needs of each student but the ultimate aim of each lesson will be to enable the student to achieve the top grade in their respective examination. This will usually be achieved through applying taught concepts by doing past paper questions and acquiring a deeper understanding of what the syllabus requires for top marks in each question.
