About Sali
I am proud to say that I am a High School Graduate. Thankfully I developed a passion for law which is why I am currently studying to be a graduate from the Paralegal Program at St. Clair College. Yes, I do not have an official teaching degree but I have gained a lot of experience over the years through volunteer work and one on one lessons with students from grade 1-2 and 9-12. I do tutor privately but I do not charge the student because they are truly in need of help but cannot afford to pay. However, I realized that I do have a passion for this and I am ready to take my expertise to the next level.

Hi there,
My teaching methods are quite flexible because I understand that many student have different learning styles but also approach learning differently. In addition, growing up I would have been lucky to find a tutor like myself because a tutor like myself is willing to put in effort in hopes of helping out student with whatever it is that they need. For instance, if I have a visual learner I will use visual tools such as whiteboard and or games to encourage learning and have them be more engaged. I intend to reward my student if they succeed because I take it as they put in work and effort in order to do well so rewarding them would be most appropriate. If I notice that my student is a audio learner, then playing a video would be a great idea because they can focus better. Instead of having them read their book for a lesson, I might have them listen to it by reading it to them so that they can have a chance to not only comprehend what they are reading better but also improve on their listening skills. Moreover, if a student is struggling why not explain the question from a different point of view by rewording the question or giving an example. There is a saying that I live by "an investment in knowledge pays the best interest". I live by this saying because I personally believe that no matter how much time I spend either by spreading my knowledge or gaining it, the knowledge will always pay off. As you can say, I value knowledge but more importantly I value the success and comfort of my students. I want to make my classroom a safe and healthy environment that will not damage my students mental health but help strengthen skills such as work ethic and work efficiency to reduce procrastination. But I also intend to give them space if they do appear as though they need it. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me and I am looking forward to meeting all my lovely and hardworking students.
