I believe that every student learns differently, which is why my teaching approach centers on adaptability, patience, and conceptual understanding. Having grown up going to Vietnamese, Chinese, and English schools, I understand firsthand how to navigate learning across different languages and cultures.
Hands-on & Visual Learning: For younger students and foundational topics, I use concrete examples, visual aids, and interactive problem-solving rather than rote memorization.
Scaffolding & Guided Support: I break down complex ideas step-by-step—first showing how it’s done, doing it together, and then letting the student tackle problems independently to build confidence.
Multilingual & Culturally Inclusive Approach: I leverage my fluency in English, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and Cantonese to explain tricky concepts clearly. Whether a student needs concepts explained in Vietnamese or wants to learn Vietnamese/Chinese language skills, I adapt to what works best for them.
Typical Lesson Structure & Duration
Standard Lesson Length: 60 minutes (45-minute options available for younger early-learners in Kindy/Year 1 if requested).
How a Lesson Runs:
Warm-Up & Review (5–10 mins): Checking in on previous concepts or recent school homework to see where help is needed most.
Core Concept / Focused Learning (30–35 mins): Introducing the target topic using interactive examples and guided practice.
Independent Application (10–15 mins): Practice problems or reading exercises to consolidate understanding.
Wrap-Up & Feedback (5 mins): Quick summary of progress and notes for parents or next week’s focus.
Qualifications & Experience
Current Master of Teaching (Primary) Student: Formally studying primary pedagogy, curriculum delivery, and inclusive classroom learning strategies.
Multilingual Background: Native/fluent speaker in Vietnamese, English, Mandarin (HSK 6 certified), and Cantonese, with a lifetime of experience in trilingual education.
Strong Foundation in STEM & Logic: Background in software engineering, giving me a structured, logical framework for explaining mathematics and problem-solving clearly.
Practical Experience: Extensive practice working with young learners, adapting learning materials for different age groups, and creating inclusive, engaging sessions.

Primary Students (Kindy – Year 6): All core subjects (Maths, Literacy/English, Science, and Homework Help).
High School Students (Years 7 – 12): Foundational Maths, English, ESL/EAL support, and Chinese or Vietnamese language support.
Adult Learners & Language Students: Conversational or structured Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), and ESL support for non-native speakers.
