About Gem

I have a degree in English Literature with Creative Writing. I worked as a nanny for two years and volunteered with the girl guides for many more. I have a lot of experience working with children, I recently got a job with Explore Learning as a tutor and in September I will begin my teacher training.

I am an enthusiastic teacher. I love to relate to children and find ways to get them excited about learning. My approach is to get to know the child and then tailor my teaching approach to them personally. I don't focus on grades but on the individual needs of the child and helping them build confidence.
