About Sorrel
I am a trained Musical Theatre Actor with an MA in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and a BA (Hons) in Music from Durham University.
I have been offering private tuition in Voice and giving Musical Theatre workshops in schools since graduating from my MA in September, and have previous experience supporting students of both Music and Drama to GCSE level in a school environment.
As a performer, I have played both lead and ensemble roles throughout my training, including the lead role in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's production of 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018, and as a company member at the National Student Drama Festival 2016.

I offer classes in all areas of Music and Theatre including Singing, Music Theory, Musical Analysis, Character Building, Spoken Voice, Performance Skills and Audition Preparation. I am able to teach all levels, from Beginner to Advanced and all age groups.
My lessons are an hour long, and can be tailored to the specific needs of each student within Music and Drama. I base my classes on the goals of each individual pupil and work closely with students to help them achieve realistic, palpable and exciting targets - for example, grade assessments, audition preparation, perfecting a particular piece of repertoire, etc.
My lessons normally begin with a short warm up, followed by a range of exercises that focus on the technical aspects required for the student to achieve their goal. Then, we will move on to applying said technique in a practical, active and exploratory way within a song or speech.
I am also a great believer that confidence is key, and strive give students both the tools and self-belief to achieve their aims in a safe, non-judgmental and fun lesson atmosphere.

Details
