About Dioveris

Hello! I’m Dio — a mother, artist, and passionate educator. I help students grow academically and emotionally, with experience teaching elementary through high school in both small and whole-class settings. I’ve worked as a second-grade teacher and a Multilingual Learner (ML) teacher, supporting students learning English as a second language. I am trained in Orton–Gillingham (OG) literacy, a structured, multisensory approach to reading, writing, and spelling. This allows me to help students develop strong foundational skills, build confidence, and achieve real results. Before teaching, I worked as a teacher’s assistant and family advocate, supporting students and families through academic and emotional challenges. I’m also a full-time artist and therapeutic art life coach, and I love integrating creativity and hands-on activities into learning. I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore, and grow at their own pace. Whether you’re learning English for school, work, or personal growth, my goal is to make learning structured, creative, and joyful.

About My Lessons

My lessons are designed to be supportive, structured, and creative, meeting each student exactly where they are. I use a blend of Orton–Gillingham (OG) literacy methods and arts-integrated, multisensory activities to help learners understand English in a way that feels clear, engaging, and confidence-building.

My Teaching Approach

I believe that learning should be both effective and joyful. I combine the proven structure of OG with the creativity of my art background to make lessons engaging and memorable. This approach works especially well for:

Children who benefit from hands-on, visual, or creative learning

Students who feel anxious or discouraged and need gentle support

Learners who want to grow at their own pace
