About Charlotte
Who I Am & Why I Teach:
I'm Charlie, a third-year Geography student at Exeter University, predicted a First-Class degree. I've always loved Geography for how it connects everything — from physical processes shaping our planet to the human decisions shaping our future — and I want students to see that same bigger picture, not just exam content.
I started tutoring informally in sixth form, helping GCSE and A-level students who were struggling with the same topics I'd once found difficult myself. Seeing their confidence grow — not just their grades — is what made me want to keep teaching.
I teach because I remember exactly what it feels like to sit in an exam hall unsure of yourself, and I know how much of a difference the right support can make. My goal isn't just to help you pass an exam, but to help you actually enjoy the subject along the way.

My Approach to Learning:
I focus on building genuine understanding first — once a concept truly clicks, exam technique falls into place naturally. I connect new topics to things students already know, breaking them into clear, structured steps rather than just handing over answers.
I also help students explain ideas in their own words, a skill sharpened through my public speaking background, which matters just as much as knowledge in exams. If something isn't clicking, we try a different angle rather than repeating the same explanation — and I like to catch learning gaps early, not just before mocks or exams.
Every session should leave you feeling more confident — not just in Geography, but in your own ability to tackle challenging material.
