About Ibrahim
Hi there! My name is Ibrahim Mohammed, and I am a dedicated and patient tutor with over 2 years of experience specialising in GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics.
My approach to tutoring is built on patience, understanding, and a commitment to helping each student unlock their highest potential. I believe in building confidence and developing essential critical thinking and problem-solving skills that go beyond the exam hall, preparing students for future academic challenges. My own academic journey has given me a strong foundation to teach from. I took A-Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry and achieved 9 GCSEs across a diverse range of subjects including Maths, Combined Science, and English. This experience allows me to understand different learning styles and the specific challenges students face.
My professional experience includes: · Over 2 years of combined tutoring experience. · Completing formal tutor training, where I learned advanced teaching techniques and classroom management strategies. · Working with a tutoring company for 3 months, delivering over 50 lessons and consistently receiving positive feedback.
I ensure progress is cemented through consistent practice. I set regular homework, which I meticulously mark and review at the start of each session to identify and correct misunderstandings. I'm Ibrahim Mohammed, willing to teach A-Level and GCSE Maths, and with a strong passion for mathematics, I proudly achieved an A in Mathematics at A-Level. As a student, I gained knowledge about different subjects and how to teach, and I intend to apply this to become a great tutor. My passion for helping others and my expert knowledge of specifications and curriculum, make me an ideal tutor.
During the first free session, I would identify what areas the student is weaker in as well as the exam board and knowledge of the student. I will aim to build your problem-solving and logical thinking skills and hopefully, you will gain more confidence to tackle challenging questions. I will mainly use past paper and exam-style questions as I believe this is the most effective way to revise for this subject.
My schedule is flexible, and I can accommodate sessions on weekdays and weekends. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss your tutoring needs and schedule a session.
