About Damen Easton
I earned a Masters of Music in Composition, as well as a certificate of Teaching Artistry, from the Longy School of Music of Bard College. I've played in various kinds of rock/pop bands, and done solo projects, for 20 years, and studied piano for longer still. I taught music theory and sought singing & ear training at Portland State University, and have also been giving private lessons in keyboard, composition, theory, and voice, for 15 years.

I like to learn your specific goals and interests as a student, then cater a lesson plan to that. Alternatively I also provide a standard course of study for anyone who has less of a specific vision. On keyboard, I primarily teach with a focus on applied theory, so that you can learn to improvise and understand music, not just read and learn pieces.
