About Robin
Robin is a celebrated dramaturg, playwright, and performer. They have had full productions of their plays as well as staged readings. They presented dramaturgical research at the Comparative Drama Conference in 2026 and 2025. Their interests lie in playwriting, theatrical research, theater history, folktales, and fairy tales. In order to further their research into Irish folklore, they traveled to The National Folklore Collection at the University College of Dublin. This research became the foundation for their most recent play on selkies.

Growing up in libraries, I have always had a fascination for the power of storytelling. I am a dramaturg, playwright, and performer who has worked in the theater for over twenty years. I offer introductory lessons in playwriting, dramaturgy/theater research, textual analysis, and script development. I trained as an artist and scholar and recently graduated magna cum laude. My lesson plans evolve based on the needs of the student and their chosen subject. We work together to develop an individualized plan that addresses your artistic goals and aspirations. For playwriting, script development, and dramaturgy students, we can build your knowledge together. We begin with script analysis. The student chooses a play that resonates with them, and we dive into the story. The characters, the plot, the structure - what makes the work sing. Once we find the heart of the play, we can understand what draws us to it and how we can implement lessons from it in our own projects.
