About Erin
I studied in Reading with A* - C grades at GCSE level and A-C grades at A-Level, studying English Literature, Ethics and Philosophy, Drama and Dance. I graduated in 2018 with a First Class Honours Degree in Musical Theatre. I have a passion for teaching and was Principle I’d Read Theatre School for the past year.
I have experience teaching students age 5-18 years old.
I volunteered in USA in 2017 working at a Summer Camp for adults with developmental and physical disabilities which opened my eyes to another way of learning and communicating. This inspired me to work as A Support Worker for adults with disabilities, therefore I understand challenges that people may come across and how to manage and support these individuals. I have knowledge on Makaton and basic sign language, as well as lots of different disabilities.
I have a passion for teaching and helping others gain more knowledge on their chosen subject as well as exam and test preparation.

I am a patient, personable and approachable. My positive attitude has meant I have been able to build great relationships with past students which has contributed to successful results as they trust me and my way of working. Firstly, I like to get to know the person I am tutoring but knowing their learning style, eg a visual learner etc. This makes sure that the student feels comfortable with me and understands that I want to cater to their way of learning to help them achieve their best results.
I like to find innovative and new ways of working to engage the student with the time I have with them, to inspire them to do extra work on their own and finally for them to maintain knowledge to a high standard so they perform well in exams or tests.
*GCSE + A-LEVEL TUTORING* I find that a lot of the exams at GCSE and A-LEVEL rely a lot on HOW to answer the exam, as well as have a solid foundation of knowledge. I would encourage the student to understand the key words in exam questions and apply the knowledge from that to their answers.
I love teaching and I can't wait tutor some more to pass on my knowledge.
