About Joe
I've been engaging with theatre and drama for around 17 years now. Since I was a kid, I've always had a passion for this area and recently helping others find their passion for it and passing on my knowledge. I've taught in schools and theatres. I have professional training from National Youth Theatre, university and industry professionals from theatre companies such as Frantic Assembly, Gecko, Ockham's Razor and RSC. During this time, I've also done a lot of performing. Recently I've done stage productions of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Ovid's Metamorphosis and Samuel Beckett's Act Without Words which I also helped to produce and design.

I believe in a combination of theory and practice to foster an academically driven understanding of theatre and performance and drama. I have experience in a number of practical and theoretical approaches when it comes to learning about acting, theatre and drama and have taught in a number of different spaces before. I worked as a practitioner and producer for the creative team of regional theatre, the New Wolsey Theatre, and helped young people grow their own personal practice and confidence as actors, performers of different types and creatives, writing their own work and creating on stage pieces.
