About Trisha

Hi! I'm Trisha, and I'm passionate about languages, learning, and helping others build skills they can actually use.

I speak English, Spanish, and German, and I'm currently learning Mandarin, so I know firsthand that learning a language can feel challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. I understand what it's like to make mistakes, get stuck on a word, or know what you want to say but not quite know how to say it yet.

My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that's how real progress happens.

I have experience tutoring students and helping them develop skills that go beyond simply memorizing information. I focus on making lessons practical, engaging, and relevant to your goals.

About the lesson

I believe the best way to learn Spanish is to actually use it, not just memorize vocabulary and grammar rules. My goal is to help you feel comfortable communicating in Spanish while building a strong foundation that you can continue using beyond our lessons.

I create personalized lessons based on your goals, current level, interests, and learning style. We can focus on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension, or a combination of these.

What a typical lesson looks like:
- A short Spanish conversation to warm up and practice speaking
- Reviewing vocabulary or grammar that is relevant to your goals
- A focused lesson around the topics you are exploring
- Conversation practice where you can apply what you've learned
- Personalized corrections and explanations
- A few exercises or prompts to practice between lessons
I want you to spend as much time as possible actively using Spanish, while still understanding the "why" behind what you're learning.

I have a genuine passion for languages and learning.
I have experience teaching and tutoring students in a way that focuses on building skills that last, not simply memorizing information for a test. My background in technology has taught me how to break complicated concepts into manageable steps, communicate clearly, and adapt my approach when something isn't clicking. Most importantly, I want my lessons to feel comfortable and encouraging.
