About C
I am technical writer who used to figure skate. I also coached figure skating for a number of years when I was working as a part time tutor. I love to see students succeed and improve!
I grew up in New Jersey and later moved to Houston, TX where I attended the University of Houston for a BFA and later the University of Houston-Downtown for a master of science in technical communication. I previously had an ebook that was published online until the publisher went out of business.
I love meeting people from all over the world and hearing about their unique backgrounds, stories and point of view.
I have an amazing puppy who is my ray of sunshine and brings a smile to my face daily.

I strive to make lessons interactive and customizable. I try to help students learn by viewing specific examples of stories and essays. I also help students with the brainstorming process. I keep a light tone and avoid harsh criticism towards students because learning should be about growth and compassion. Learning should also be fun. I try to get students to write about topics they are interested in instead of limiting them to one topic to write about. Previous students have enjoyed learning about story writing from me the most. Other students have liked it when I allowed them to change the format of their work by using PowerPoint presentations or templates. Overall, I stive to foster a respectful environment that fosters growth and invites dialogue and disagreements. Students should be encouraged to use their voices to speak their points of view.
