My teaching philosophy is that students learn best through conversation and correction as this is how native speakers learn their own language. I encourage my students to speak for 5 to 10 minutes (or more if they want to) and then we review their good sentences and mistakes, looking at grammar rules and identifying repeated errors. It’s also very important for me to make learning personalised and fun because I believe talking about personal topics makes the material more engaging and memorable for students.
