About Helena

I am a dedicated and resilient high achiever, capable of excelling under pressure. Despite moving schools and having only four months to prepare, I independently achieved grade 7s in the Edexcel exam board, adapting quickly to a new system. My ability to learn efficiently and perform well under challenging circumstances reflects my strong work ethic and commitment to academic excellence—qualities that I am eager to bring to a teaching role. I also consecutively achieved grade 9’s in and 98% in class assessments for the AQA English exam board which I studied for two years. I believe my ability to apply exam knowledge and application techniques to different exam board shows versatility for teaching other students.

About the lesson

If you struggle and sometimes become anxious in learning environments, I am completely understanding and with my patience and experience with teaching younger students difficult topics in many different Literature genres and texts, I will aid you in achieving higher in your GCSE exams. Even under pressure, we will dive deep into themes and characters, into theories and literary techniques and their analysis to ensure you know the texts well. I will create quick-fire questions that will test your memory ensuring the content you need to know is stored in your memory to excel for answers.
