About Alissa

I am a professional English teacher. I have 9 years of work experience. I have had the opportunity to teach in schools and colleges across India, Ireland and Spain. Over the past year I have been providing Spanish language tutoring. I lived in Spain for 2 years, 1 year in Galicia and the other in Andalucia. Having immersed myself in the language and culture, I have a strong understanding of the social codes of Spain. About the lesson

As an educator, I practise a constructivist teaching style. I discourage all passive activities that focus solely on receiving and memorising information. Instead, I encourage learning with practical application. I provide a context to the content and oppotunities for students to apply the new content, to question the content, to make connections and sometimes to even delve into an in-depth analysis. I strongly believe that every learner is different and each of them might learn in different ways and at a different pace. I cater to those needs to help them reach their full potential.
