About David

I am an Ontario-certified teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring students across multiple school boards in Southwestern Ontario. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of varying ages, abilities, and learning styles.

My extensive classroom experience has given me a strong understanding of curriculum expectations, effective teaching strategies, and the challenges students and families face. I pride myself on being patient, dependable, and professional, while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

As a tutor, my goal is to build both skills and confidence. I believe that with the right guidance, encouragement, and structure, every student can make meaningful progress and develop into a more independent, successful learner.

About the lesson

I offer personalized tutoring for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in French, math, literacy, and homework support. With over 20 years of extensive teaching and tutoring experience across multiple school boards in Southwestern Ontario, I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, learning style, and pace.

My approach focuses on building confidence, strengthening foundational skills, and addressing current classroom challenges through clear instruction, guided practice, and targeted review. A typical lesson may include homework help, skill-building, problem-solving, and strategies to improve organization and independent learning.

I also offer summer tutoring to help students avoid the “summer slide,” strengthen key skills, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

What sets me apart is my extensive classroom experience in both English and French Immersion, my ability to quickly identify learning gaps, and my patient, encouraging teaching style. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students become more confident, capable learners.
