About Dave
As a devoted educator of 25 years, I hold 3 degrees and more than 150 certificates and diplomas on all aspects of curriculum and child psychology. I spend my spare time staying current with the latest developments in the educational field and regularly participate in self motivated as well as required professional development. Throughout my career I have served as a classroom teacher, assistant teacher, 1 on 1 aide and teacher's aide to children age 3 to 18.

I use a variety of techniques and strategies to help students gain success in understanding word structure. When the child progresses beyond letter to sound recognition, I focus on single and letter combination sounds that combine to form the words. I use picture and word flash cards and word only flash cards as well as other media. In classroom as well as one on one sessions, I have successfully taught and tutored children of all ages to read proficiently.
