About Laura

I am Laura, a teacher by profession with 8 years experience. I was born in South Africa and now living in England.
My favorite subject is biology which I can teach up to high school. The other subjects I teach is primary school english (reading, writing, phonics, spelling etc) and maths. I am happy to help with any other primary school subject too.
My aim is to make a difference in children's lives by welcoming critical thinking and problem solving skills to eliminate anxiety while learning in class and during tests/ exams.

I am a kind, caring, patient, calm and empathetic teacher who aims to instill the same passions through teaching.

About the lesson

I provide step-by-step guidance for problem-solving, offering strategies and techniques to tackle various types of questions. I encourage students to actively participate by asking questions, providing feedback, and engaging in discussions.

Typically, a lesson can range from a few minutes for quick clarifications to several hours for in-depth discussions and learning sessions. However, the exact duration is flexible and can be customised based on the student's needs.

As a qualified teacher, I have been trained on a vast amount of various subjects, including mathematics, English, Biology and more.

My tutoring sessions are designed to cater to a wide range of students. Biology, I can teach up to high school, and can teach all primary subjects too.
