About Irene

I spent most of my childhood moving back and forth between Italy and Australia, therefore, I have developed fluency in the Italian language and experienced the culture and lifestyle first-hand.

My love and passion for all things 'Italian', led me to complete a teaching degree at La Trobe University where I perfected my linguistic skills. Having taught Italian for 9 years now, I have developed an extensive pool of resources to ensure students are challenged and engaged in the lessons.

About the lesson

Hi everyone!

My name is Irene and I am a qualified Italian teacher. I have been teaching Italian to both primary and secondary school students for 9 years.

I will determine your weaknesses and strengths early on and focus on making progress each lesson. I will cater the lesson to your interests and individual learning needs. I will ensure lessons are fun and engaging, with lots of different activities focusing on speaking, reading, writing and listening. If you are a student already learning Italian in school, I can provide assistance with assessments/exam preparation to ensure you feel confident. Over the years, I have accumulated an extensive pool of resources and materials to teach Italian, which are fun and engaging. I always ensure lessons are fun and relevant to my student's personal interests.

Most importantly, I will foster a positive and encouraging relationship where you will feel comfortable and engaged in the lesson.

I hope I can share and pass on my love of the Italian language and culture to you and we can have fun learning and conversing in the language.
