About Wayne
I have always enjoyed music. I don't know what I would have done had I not been a musician. I went to college wanting to learn all I could about music, so I could be the best. I hold three degrees in music, a Bachelor's degree, and two Master's degrees. In addition, I earned four certificates in music, in order to further my knowledge of it. I know exactly how to teach and approach any musical subject, so you will know a lot more about it. This is how we would start: First, you need a good book on the subject. Then, I would start you on page one; going through the book little by little so you have a complete understanding of each item before we go on. (I had a professor at college do this, and he was great.) As one of my students, you can be a young person trying to get a head start on music for college, or an adult interested in advancing your knowledge and love of the classics. One person I taught music lessons to, once said to me, "Every time I talk to you, I learn something about music." In conclusion, I am really looking forward to this exciting endeavor in music. You will love it.

I spent 10 years in college studying music. I can teach a lot about: Ear Training, Music History, and Music Theory. I could be the most help to a high school student interested in starting to learn about music for college, which is a fantastic idea. Get a head start on it. (You are going to need it.) This would also all apply to an interested adult. In addition, I spent 10 years studying music privately with a Professor from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, who advanced me even further than a usual college degree. I am really oriented toward Classical Music: J. S. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. but if you were interested in learning to compose for popular music, a good solid classical training would start to help you out. First, I think you need to buy a good introductory book. I will assume you know nothing. Then I would carefully take you through the subject. I would love to share what I know. I firmly believe, you would thoroughly enjoy your time with me. - Wayne
