About Faye

What I enjoy most about teaching is that moment when something clicks — a child shares an idea in Mandarin, or an adult finds the words they need in a real conversation. Helping learners reach those moments is why I love what I do.

I’m patient, approachable and curious about the people I teach. I take time to listen, welcome questions and make room for mistakes. I want my students to feel comfortable being beginners and proud of their progress, however small it may seem.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Faye, a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and TCSOL-certified Mandarin teacher with a Master of Teaching. For children, I use stories, songs, games and original learning materials to build Mandarin skills and confidence, adapting lessons to each child’s interests and pace.

For adults, I offer personalised Mandarin for travel, work and everyday conversation, alongside HSK textbook study. We focus on pronunciation, tones and Mandarin grammar, using clear explanations and practical conversations to help you communicate with confidence.
