About Carrie
I am passionate about learning and teaching the Spanish language and its related cultures around the world. This is my life's work and I cannot imagine doing anything else (besides teaching ESL, too!). I've been studying Spanish since preschool, that is to say more than 30 years!

I am used to teaching both large and small classes. My smallest class had three students (in-person) and my largest had 55 students (online). I started my teaching career teaching ESL in Spain with Pre-K through 6th grade. I achieved my MA in Spanish from the University of Florida and moved onto teaching college students from there at the University of Virginia. I also taught for three years at Hawai'i Pacific University, for two years at a high school in Honolulu, HI and for 2.5 years at high schools in Texas.
I can teach anyone from preschool through adults either Spanish or English as a Second Language, which I have also taught at five institutions (both private and public, including for the University of Hawai'i-Manoa).
