About Marie
Despite a happy and carefree childhood where I lacked nothing, I endured my school years with a feeling of loneliness and out of step with other students. This discrepancy was partly explained when, at my 25th birthday, I was diagnosed with high potential. Better late than never. I also understood why I felt different when at 18 I realized my homosexuality. The shock was such that it instantly triggered a period of depression and great isolation. After this painful episode, I decided that I would never be alone again.
So I lived the rest of my studies with the main ambition to be integrated and accepted. I thus learned to privilege the outside look rather than my own needs, which led me to accept personal and professional situations which made me suffer.
I quickly understood that my engineering studies offered me positions prioritizing profit rather than human beings. On the strength of my experiences in terms of discrimination as a woman and as a lesbian, I decided to exercise a profession that makes sense. I am now a empowerment coach and I support womenand LGBTQIA+ people to take their place by fully claiming who they are.
