About Robert
I’m a Mathematics graduate (Bristol) currently studying for a Master’s in Behavioural and Economic Science (Warwick). I also have six months of classroom experience, which has taught me the importance of adapting my teaching to each individual student.
I know first-hand that confidence in maths doesn’t always come naturally, had to work hard to build my own confidence. This helps me understand the frustrations students can face and allows me to explain concepts patiently and in different ways until they click.
I want my lessons to be supportive, personal and, most importantly, tailored to how each student learns best.

My approach is to make lessons friendly, relaxed and tailored to each student. I start by identifying areas where the student is struggling, then work through these together to build both understanding and confidence. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking, rather than simply memorising answers. Lessons are typically 1 hour long and can be adapted to suit the student’s needs, whether that means working through difficult topics, preparing for exams or practising past-paper questions.
