About Zain
I have extensive experience with the full Design and Technology process, particularly the HSC major project and folio. I understand how to structure a high-quality portfolio, including research, design development, justification, testing, and evaluation to maximize marks across all criteria.
I’m confident working across a range of practical areas, including woodwork, electronics, and 3D printing, and I help students bridge the gap between their ideas and a well-executed final product. This includes material selection, construction techniques, prototyping, and problem-solving throughout the build process.

My Design and Technology lessons focus on helping students excel in both their major project and written folio.
Having completed my own major project and worked extensively in technical theatre and production environments, I understand how to turn ideas into high-quality, well-documented outcomes.
I help students with:
* Developing strong project ideas and concepts
* Planning, time management, and meeting deadlines
* Improving folio quality (structure, annotations, justification, and evaluation)
* Technical skills and problem solving
* Preparing for HSC Design and Technology exams
A typical lesson (60 mins) includes:
* Reviewing project progress or folio work
* Targeted feedback and improvements
* Practical or conceptual development
* Guidance on next steps to stay ahead of schedule
