About Tamara

Sign language has been my dream since second grade and that early passion has remained with me throughout my life. I've spent years interpreting professionally after getting both my associate and bachelor’s degrees in it, and ASL has become both my career and something deeply meaningful to me. I love being able to share it with others in a way that feels supportive, practical, and personal. Whether someone is learning for a family member, for workplace communication, or to feel more confident in everyday interactions, I enjoy helping them build real-life signing skills that truly matter. My goal is to make learning ASL encouraging, comfortable, and tailored to each person's unique needs.

About the lesson

As an ASL tutor, I focus on each learner's specific goals and real-life needs. I adjust my approach based on their level and the situations they want to feel confident in- whether that's workplace communication, home and family signing, conversational skills, or support for ASL classes. My sessions are relaxed, patient, and centered around building practical signing skills that fit naturally into everyday life. I guide students, families and professionals through clear, supportive practice so they can communicate confidently in their daily life and situations encountered.
