About Nelisile

I’m a passionate and patient South African Sign Language educator with 20 years of experience in the Deaf community. I love Deaf culture, its rich vocabulary, grammar, and especially its humour! My goal is to make learning sign language fun, engaging, and meaningful by helping learners understand not only the signs, but also the expressions, emotions, and culture behind them. I believe sign language is more than words expressed through hands; it’s about connection, understanding, and bringing people together!

About the lesson

Every session is dynamic, highly visual, and active. A typical lesson includes:
• Interactive drills to build muscle memory and facial expressions and finger spelling.
• Real-world scenarios like introductions, ordering food, or casual conversations.
• Cultural insights into the Deaf community so you understand the context behind the signs.
• Instant feedback in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Who My Lessons Are Aimed At
My lessons are completely tailored to your pace and goals, specifically welcoming:
• Beginners to Intermediate learners- Grammar, vocabulary and conversation skills.
• Family members or friends of Deaf individuals wanting to connect deeper.
• Professionals (teachers, medical staff, customer service) expanding their skillset.
