About Nuria
Born in Spain to a Spanish mother and British father, I attended a local Spanish school for eight years before moving to the UK to complete primary school. At the age of 12, I relocated to Singapore, where I completed my GCSEs (including Spanish, French and Drama) and later my A Levels in Drama, Art, and French. I’ve always had a deep passion for languages and a drive to step outside my comfort zone to improve them. At 17, I spent several weeks in France on a language exchange, which led me to achieve my C1-level certificate in French. I’m also fluent in Spanish and Catalan, having grown up in Barcelona. Aside from languages, my passion for performing arts has been lifelong—I knew from day one that I wanted to be an actress! At 15, I began working as a children’s party entertainer at The Tiara Society Singapore, performing as Disney characters at events. Currently, I am studying for a BA in Drama and Acting. I’m creative, artistic, passionate about learning, and even more passionate about sharing knowledge through teaching.

As a native Spanish speaker with a GCSE Grade 9 in Spanish and experience tutoring children, I tailor each lesson to suit the learner’s age, level, and goals. My approach is friendly, interactive, and focused on building both confidence and fluency. I use a mix of conversation practice, vocabulary-building, grammar and listening activities. For younger children, I include songs, stories, and visuals to keep learning fun and engaging. For GCSE and A Level students, I focus on exam skills, past papers, writing structure, and oral preparation. Lessons typically last one hour, but I’m flexible depending on your needs. I have experience teaching complete beginners through to advanced learners at A Level, and I work especially well with young children thanks to my background in performance and children's entertainment. Whether you're looking to boost your grades, start from scratch, or improve fluency, I’ll create a supportive, encouraging learning environment tailored to you.

Nuria is the best tutor I have ever had. She understood my needs and difficulties and wasted no time to get to work on my main struggles which was conjugating in Spanish. She was patient with me as I learn slower than others and gave me techniques to memorise necessities. Always happy to help, Nuria constantly helped me with my homework and answered any questions I had even when we weren’t together!
Nuria was a super helpful tutor while I was studying for my GCSEs. The additional support that Nuria gave me really helped me develop a better understanding and gain confidence especially with speaking and with her help I was able to get a 9 which at the start of the year I never thought I would be able to achieve!
