About Debi
My pedagogy is grounded in play-based, inquiry-driven learning. I prioritize co-regulation, formative observation, and responsive curriculum design based on children’s emerging interests and developmental readiness.
My teaching approach centers on respect for the child as capable and competent. I design learning environments that provoke curiosity, support autonomy, and nurture social-emotional growth alongside academic foundations.

I have extensive knowledge and experience with young children between the ages of 5 -12 years; observing, guiding & supporting them to reach their potential. I see young children as capable, curious learners who construct knowledge through exploration, play, and meaningful relationships.
Every child should be accepted for who they are, in terms of their development and where they are in their learning.
My teaching focus is always on the process rather than the end product. A child's individual learning needs and learning style is always first.
My role is to create a safe, engaging environment where children feel secure enough to explore, take risks, and express themselves. I observe carefully, scaffold learning intentionally, and respond to each child’s developmental needs.
My classes are very interactive with many interesting activities planned. Learning should always be fun and engaging - being aware always of a child's interests that can be incorporated within the teaching lessons. My planning always includes a variety of activities with a learning objective for each one.
