About Marie-Anne

I came in the UK as an aupair in 1994 to improve my English after completing vocational qualification in tourism. We were trained to run a travel agency.
In my spare time I was deciphering one of Rudyard Kipling's book (Plain tales from the Hills 1888). This was a wicked exercise armed with my book, a bilingual dictionary and my pencil. No one would have been able to read the book after me for all the comments I wrote. Today, I could not tell you what the plot was about. One thing is sure it helped me to pass my Cambridge Certificates. So believe, me I know what it is to struggle.
I then worked in a back street pub, apply to the local university for a degree in French and Spanish. On the side I was working teaching French or Spanish to 3 years old or adults during evening classes.
I do understand effort between GCSE and A level expectation. There is a massive step to cimb!

About the lesson

Hi,
I always start with a friendly relax assessment of where the student is at, the needs, but also the likes and dislikes and expectations from me as the tutor and from the lessons. My teaching methods are student centred and use a variety of resources and techniques inspired from other domains.
I do expect hard work and will give tasks to complete from one session to the next.
The lesson are one hour long. I have been teaching since 1995 French Spanish and Italian to student from 3 up to 78, from foundation level to degree level.
