About Naheem
I’m a PhD scientist in Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering from University College London (2022) with an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy for excellence in teaching and mentoring Master’s and undergraduate students at UCL.
I hold a First-Class MSci in Neuroscience from the University of Leeds (2017), where I received multiple academic awards (4+) and consistent Dean’s List Honours (2014–2016).
Earlier, I achieved 3 A grades at A-level (Biology, Chemistry, Maths) and 11 A–A+ grades at GCSE, so I understand the journey from school-level study to top-tier university success.

I offer a unique, tailored 1:1 Research Programme for motivated GCSE and A-level students. You will get to work directly with an active researcher at a top university to design and complete an independent research project on real, current science.
Typical topics: CRISPR and Gene Editing, Science of Ageing & Lifespan Strategies, Stem Cell Biology & Tissue Engineering, 3D Bioprinting of Human Tissues & Organs — and more, chosen together based on your interests.
What you’ll get: A student-chosen research question and research plan, developed with me. Guided experiments, literature review, data analysis and academic writing support. One-to-one mentoring and tailored feedback to support your future academic success.
A final output: a university-level academic paper (suitable for a school extended project, UCAS statement material, university interview preparation, or science competition entry).
Recommendations
Recommendations are written by the tutor's friends, family, and acquaintances.
I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Naheem, and he is an outstanding biotechnology tutor. He is able to break down complex concepts—such as 3D bioprinting, cell biology, and lab techniques—into clear, understandable lessons. What makes them especially effective is his patience, depth of knowledge, and talent for connecting theory with real-world applications.
He doesn’t just explain the material; he ensures understanding by using examples, asking guiding questions, and encouraging problem-solving. His teaching style makes challenging topics approachable, and he is always willing to adapt to the student’s learning pace. Thanks to his guidance, I’ve gained not only stronger academic skills but also a deeper appreciation for biotechnology as a field.
Also a result of his mentorship, I was honored to be one of the USA's top 300 junior innovators for middle school research.
I would highly recommend Naheem to anyone seeking support in biotechnology—whether for coursework, exam prep, or a deeper exploration of the subject.See more recommendations
