About Mari-Wenn
After passing the baccalauréat, I did a Higher School Preparatory Class (classes préparatoires) in Humanities and Social Sciences witg French, Philosophy, English, German and History as well as Sociology and Economics, Mathematics. After this period, I graduated from the Université Paris Diderot (now Université de Paris) in English studies. I spent six months in Berlin, Germany, during the last semester of my Bachelor’s degree course, as part of the Erasmus program. Moreover, I participated in the language assistant program in 2019-2020 in Scotland. This consolidated my level in English while allowing me to discover the linguistic differences between the two languages with teachers teaching French as a foreign language. I helped teachers and gave French lessons to children (beginners, intermediates or advanced in French). I am currently in Master 1 (soon in M2) in translation at ESIT, and I am translating with French, English and German as languages. I am at the same time a tutor.

My teaching method depends a lot on my students. I think it's important to be able to adapt to the way students learn best, because everyone is different! What I really enjoy doing in a course is sharing my knowledge about the culture (e.g. music, pop culture, etc) of the language, because I think that's also how we learn new languages. I am of course flexible, and I can concentrate on one aspect that the student wants to work on.
