About Mady
Hi! I’m a biology tutor and a student at The University of Texas at Austin, where I’m studying Nutrition, a field that relies heavily on biology. Because biology is such a major part of my own coursework, I understand how challenging (and sometimes overwhelming) it can feel, and I know what it takes to really understand the material.
My goal is to make biology feel clearer and more manageable. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, logical steps and explaining the why behind each concept, not just the memorization. Whether you’re trying to catch up, improve your grades, or push yourself in Honors or AP Biology, I tailor each lesson to your pace and learning style.
Lessons are organized, interactive, and focused on helping you feel confident going into class and exams. I’ll walk you through difficult topics, practice test-style questions with you, and help you develop better study habits along the way. I aim to create a supportive, low-stress environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and learning at your own pace.
I take tutoring seriously, but I also want sessions to feel approachable and encouraging. My goal is to help you build confidence in biology and feel capable of succeeding in the subject.

Biology can feel overwhelming because it mixes vocabulary, processes, and problem-solving. My goal is to break complex concepts into logical steps, connect them to real-world examples, and reinforce them until students can explain the material confidently on their own.
A typical lesson will include first gauging the understanding of the student on the specific biology topic. Then inserting some support through visual explanations and active recall. Finally, the lesson will end with exam-like practice questions.
