About Miles
Miles Keaton is a percussionist studying music at the Rutgers Mason Gross School Of The Arts. He has been a percussionist for 8 years, and an overall musician for 16. Outside of college, Miles also engages in music by teaching marching band at various high schools. Miles has taught drumline at both Edison High School and Monroe Township High School from 2021-2023. Miles intends to graduate Rutgers in the fall 2025 semester.

I offer an "outside the box" approach to marching percussion lessons that veers away from just "building chops" and playing stock exercises. The student will be challenged to think about the way they drum, and be fully connected with the movement of their hands. My core philosophy is that a smart drummer is a good drummer, which has never failed to be true.
For concert percussion lessons, I offer a widespread amount of methods for beginning, between more musically focused and more rudimental technique approaches.
